SLEEK IN BLACK

The trench. The staple classic for every lady's wardrobe. However, a good quality, sleek trench doesn't need to cost you an arm and a leg - this one from ZARA, for example, still gives that subtle look of luxury. In particular, I am a sucker for the faux leather sleeves. I've paired this number with LK BENNETT heels, with the statement strap (highlighted beautifully in white!). Add in a plain black dress, and voila! Winning formula?

I think I've said this millions of times, but you can't get more comfortable than LK BENNETT. Although I love ridiculous shoes from time to time, comfort is essential. This pair fits wonderfully, and they're unique! What's more, can be worn for work or leisure.

A COAT OF RED - HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR!

And here's my real New Year's Resolution - to actually post! Sorry for the long hiatus, it's been absolutely manic recently with a real transition into the next stages of my professional career. It's been a whirlwind ride and I can't wait for my next steps. Nonetheless and separately, I'm super excited to share with you my favourite new piece, this ZARA red coat. It fares well in brightening any outfit - here I've paired it with this grey knitwear duo.

Being Chinese, I get really excited when the Lunar New Year comes round this time of year. After the exciting highs of Christmas and the New Year, winter gets a bit dreary. However, come late January / early-to-mid February, the festivities begin again, and it's a great excuse to bring out a bold red number! In addition to its vivid colour, I love the coat's silhouette. As a petite girl, I find it's hard to rock longer jackets, but this one, with its above-the-knee cut, is the perfect length!

FEELIN' VERY VEGAS - ARIA RESORT & CASINO

Say "Las Vegas" and I think thigh-high boots and slick leather, glitter and sequins, and glamour and dynamism. It's a city bustling with showbiz, adventure and rebellion against self-restraint - offering variety and excitement at every corner. I've always wanted to visit, and spend some time gloriously witnessing the sights of the Grand Canyon and being overwhelmed by the diversity of Vegas!

In this outfit, I give my take on the edgy metropolis side of Vegas - encapsulated so well by ARIA in the city centre (see images above and below). Vegas is known for their hotels, and there is something for everyone from CAESAR'S PALACE to EXCALIBUR - encompassing amazing larger-than-life themes and incredible architectural designs. I love the quirkiness of each one, and I'm dying to try them all! I was particularly drawn to ARIA for its sleek, modern design, whilst still being very Vegas!

ARIA boasts a futuristic, chic and luxurious vibe, complete with three eclipse-shaped pools, with a notable cocktail bar (Alibi), Shio salt room in their spa, Japanese Ganbanyoku heated stone beds and an impressive art collection. It wouldn't be a Vegas hotel without a casino - and ARIA doesn't dare disappoint, as it proudly houses150,000 square feet of gaming. Also, big win for anti-smoking rooms, 98% of its rooms are non-smoking! Massive bonus for people who are particularly sensitive to leftover tobacco fumes and families looking for a healthier stay, ARIA looks like a good bet too.

DELICATE IN BLACK

The BRITISH MUSEUM is one of my favourite sites in London. From the Rosetta Stone to the Elgin Marbles, it houses some of the most beautiful and culturally important relics in the world. I'm there so often I invested in a membership, and so I'm able to access quite a lot of the exhibitions without paying extra. It's one of those places that I feel very much at ease and where I can get lost amongst the gorgeous treasures on show.

I paired this black and white outfit with my favourite red lipstick from MAC to give it that extra "pop" of colour. The thing I absolutely love, love, love about shoes from LK BENNETT is how immaculately well made they are. They tend to be really comfortable, stylish and work appropriate.
