FEELING GREEN

Crushing on silhouettes this early summertime; my wardrobe is rejoicing at this find from LAVISH ALICE, a brand that features modern and chic outlines and unique detailing. In particular, I love how this blazer features a cape, making it feel quite regal and sophisticated!

We shot this in the courtyard of one of my favourite places in London, the VICTORIA & ALBERT MUSEUM. It's so wonderful in that so many of London's museums are free, and you can actually get some decent sketching out of the exhibitions at quite a few of them, including the V&A. Some weekends (and Friday nights, when they open later than usual) I sit inside in peaceful stillness, on one of the foldable chairs they provide to visitors, to refresh my drawing "skills" (of which I lack considerably!).

This cut out dress from FRENCH CONNECTION is one of my favourites, it's figure-flattering and the colour really complements my skin tone. I was delighted to find that they match well with this pair of heels from TED BAKER, which has some pops of pink tones and floral details.

SLEEK IN BLACK

The trench. The staple classic for every lady's wardrobe. However, a good quality, sleek trench doesn't need to cost you an arm and a leg - this one from ZARA, for example, still gives that subtle look of luxury. In particular, I am a sucker for the faux leather sleeves. I've paired this number with LK BENNETT heels, with the statement strap (highlighted beautifully in white!). Add in a plain black dress, and voila! Winning formula?

I think I've said this millions of times, but you can't get more comfortable than LK BENNETT. Although I love ridiculous shoes from time to time, comfort is essential. This pair fits wonderfully, and they're unique! What's more, can be worn for work or leisure.

FAUX REAL

London is one of those places where, even if you've seemingly explored every nook and cranny, there's always something new around the corner. As the seasons change, it's hard to get totally accustomed to leaving the safety of a warm piece of outerwear behind. I love this ASOS faux fur coat, which pairs really well with any outfit. I've matched it with this maroon dress from FRENCH CONNECTION, which fits really well and gives some form to the overall outfit.

To make it a little more casual and better for on-the-go, I've also added my favourite VAGABOND booties, giving that perfect Londoner style edge!

LAID BACK VALENTINE

I've been with my man for some time now, and when it's Valentine's round the corner, we're actually quite chilled out about it. Sometimes the best ways to celebrate is to take it easy and just appreciate being together with a little peace and quiet! After a very busy spell in my professional life, it's exactly  what the doctor ordered...

That doesn't mean I can't have a little fun with my outfit! This light maroon red skirt, black turtle neck and textured grey cardigan bring out a nice soft and understated feel - but I still feel quite romantic! Match with leopard print heels and red lip, and I feel very much in the mood!
