OLIVE FOR THE FRILLS

Sorry for the terrible, double pun! Cutting to the chase, I'm really feeling the bomber jacket trend at the moment. As I'm a real fan of mixing and matching, I love taking something casual and clashing it with something else that's a bit more feminine and prettier. That's what I've tried here, with this delicate lace shirt with its subtle frills and high colour. I think I got it from a sample sale at M FOR MENDOCINO in Toronto, Canada (a store I frequently visit when I'm in town). For that extra hint of easy-going, I've added ripped jeans to the outfit. These from HOLLISTER are a usual frontrunner in my weekend wardrobe, because they're so comfortable!

LAID BACK VALENTINE

I've been with my man for some time now, and when it's Valentine's round the corner, we're actually quite chilled out about it. Sometimes the best ways to celebrate is to take it easy and just appreciate being together with a little peace and quiet! After a very busy spell in my professional life, it's exactly  what the doctor ordered...

That doesn't mean I can't have a little fun with my outfit! This light maroon red skirt, black turtle neck and textured grey cardigan bring out a nice soft and understated feel - but I still feel quite romantic! Match with leopard print heels and red lip, and I feel very much in the mood!

ALL YOU NEED IS RIPPED JEANS

I've recently become obsessed with the concept of ripped jeans. They feel quite carefree, which is quite reflective of my personality. A good pair tends to complement my everyday style, as I'm all about messy hair, simple makeup (oftentimes sporting a red lip when I'm feeling a little more daring) and crop tops.

I never seem to find jeans that fit as well as those from HOLLISTER. As I'm a petite girl, I need something leg-elongating, hence my favourite type of cut is when the waist goes up quite high and the rips are right at the knee. Pair it with some platforms? Sorted. I like my platforms comfortable, explains why I'm a loyal frequenter of VAGABOND, which never fails to channel chic with attitude! Can wear them for a number of hours without the usual complaints of pressed toes and aching soles!
